Vicki Van @vickivanjewellery (Chinese New Zealander)

Vicki Van is a Chinese New Zealander who studied International Business and initially wanted to have a career in nutrition and food science. It was her godmother who told her that if she could turn back time, she would pursue her dream to study jewelry instead. Feeling like a younger version of her godmother, Vicki was inspired and first went to GIA before coming to AIGS to learn about gemstones.

Karim Osman (Egypt)

Karim Osman @osmanjewelry – comes from Egypt and is a third generation jeweler and gemologist in his family. He moved to Bangkok after graduating college with the aim to start a jewelry business. His handmade designs are nature inspired using raw and polished stones.

Amy Kubes (USA)

Amy Kubes @amylynnkubes attending and earning a gemology certification in 2019 was by fate and destiny. The story starts back in 1989, when Amys father, Rick Kubes, was attending the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in the USA. Rick befriended Mr. WK Ho and his son Kennedy Ho. Then in 2015 Rick, Kennedy, their wives and Amy reunited in Tucson by chance, by fate. They redeveloped their friendship and continually have dinners In Tucson every year.
