Having started his career as a retail sales advisor in his native Taipei, Jason Kao went on to obtain both a Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) Diploma and Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). He then went on to spend two years as an instructor for the organization, as well as being involved with the translation of the G.G. course materials and other pioneering work to promote Western gemology to the Chinese-speaking world.
A noted authority on jade, emerald and especially colored diamonds, Mr. Kao authored the Chinese-language books Fancy Colored Diamonds and The Knowledge of Diamonds. In addition, he serves as a consultant for a variety of industry associations and publications in Taiwan and beyond
AIGS is pleased to announce that Jason Kao will be teaching our three-day Colored Diamond Course, which is due to commence later in 2016.
